Regardless of our age, social status, and beliefs, we all can experience life adversities that can cause trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, complex grief, anxiety disorders, depression, or other mental and emotional distress that can be difficult to manage alone.
Past, recent and ongoing painful life experiences such as traumatic childhood experiences, domestic violence, intergenerational and racial trauma, accidents or other painful and disturbing events can cause psychological, emotional, spiritual, financial, physical and relational issues to you and your loved ones.

Feeling distressed, lacking motivation and energy, and constantly anxious? You may experience persistent sadness, constant worry, excessive feelings of guilt, shame, and anger. You might think that you have no place in the world, are not good enough, are a failure, are not worthy of love, do not deserve happiness, and feel the need for something to change. Having someone who can listen to you with empathy, sincerity, and without judgment can be a great support during these difficult times.
Working with a psychotherapist also means working with a professional with the training and experience to provide you with the therapeutic treatments, information, tools and strategies to help you better understand your situation, and overcome these distresses.
About Me and My Areas of Expertise
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario, an EMDR Therapist registered with EMDR Canada and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I am also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I hold a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and have supported clients in a variety of settings in Ottawa and British Columbia, including private practice, Ottawa's Carlton Jail, schools, facilitating the Smart Recovery program, traveling to Indigenous communities as a mental health worker for Jordan Principal, and others.
I I chose to become a psychotherapist because I firmly believe that each and every one of us has inner strength and the capacity to heal, especially when we receive the help and support we need.
I am a compassionate therapist who sits with my clients. What is most important to me is meeting my clients where they are in their life journey, meaning I respect, honour, and appreciate people for where they are in their life journey, not for where I wish or want them to be. We are never on a life journey by chance or by magic. Just as there are moments of joy, gratitude, pride, victories and accomplishments, there are also pains, losses, griefs, battles, concessions and learnings.

I work with adults and adolescents aged 13 and older, offering trauma-informed care to help my clients heal and grow. I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, effective and evidence-based approaches for addressing trauma, PTSD, grief, complex grief, anxiety, and depression.
Whether you feel stuck, have experienced past or recent distressing life experiences, have tried different other therapies, or are wondering if EMDR could be a good fit for you, I use a collaborative, person-centred, and intercultural approach to create a safe and supportive space for my clients to feel understood and empowered.
I offer my sessions in English and French online and in person.
